Hello!


So, this one is a personal project that which I idealized in 2009, but only was able to finish now. (ya, it doens´t seem so difficult to render it, but you know... other project´s deadlines can turn a "walk in the park" into something VERY difficult!)

I guess you guys will undestand this joke. If you don´t, please, take your ass and go watch Star Wars while drink a bottle of Johnny Walker...


The First Image is the classic (both yellow and black & white versions). The second is a simple application of the piece

Olá!

Então, esse aqui é um projeto pessoal o qual eu idealizei em 2009, mas fui consegui terminar somente agora. ( tá, ele não aprece tão difícil de se produzir, mas vocês sabem... o prazo do outros projetos podem transformar um "passeio no parque" em algo MUITO difícil!)

Acho que todos vocês vão entender essa brincadeira. Se não, por favor, tirem esse traseiro daí e vão assistir Star Wars, enquanto bebem uma garrafa de Johnny Walker...

A primeira imagem é a classica (tanto a versão amarela como a em preto & branco). A segunda é uma aplicação simples da peça.

Vou fazer uma camiseta com essa aqui =)

Dia dos Pais

Howdy!


Last sunday was Father´s day here in Brazil. Actually, it is just a commercial day, but we use it to celebrate the fact that we have a father, to wish them health and happiness. (and also give them some gifts)

This was a digital card that the RedFoot Art studios made for all the fathers around the world. I gave this one to my own father, but with a costumized the message.

Olá!

Nesse último domingo foi Dia dos Pais aqui no Brasil (se você é brasileiro, provavelmente não precisava ler essa parte). Na verdade, é apenas um dia comercial que usamos pra celebrar o fato de termos um pai e de desejar a eles saúde e a felicidade. (e também para presenteá-los).

Esse foi um cartão digital que o estúdio RedFoot Art fez para todos os pais ao redor do mundo. Eu dei esse aqui para o meu próprio pai, mas com uma mensagem personalizada.

Feliz dia dos pais para todos vocês! (com um pouco de atraso!)

Vegan-Zombie

Howdy!

This is the Vegan-Zombie project. It is a silly joke that appeared when I asked one of my firends: "What a vegan-zombie would say when he moans?" Well, the answer is: unlike of the carnivorous zombie, who says: "braaaaaaaiinnnsss...", he would ask  for something which does not harm the enviroment and does not cause living beings any suffering.


So, here are two versions of the illustration, one with a background and one without it. I thought that drawing the vegan zombie approaching  from a wheat filed  would make things a lot creepier (and there are no more excuses to prevent Arthur from not  drawing the background/enviroment.

There is also a screen with some zoomed details.


Hope you liked it. I am thinking to make a t-shirt with this piece.

Olá!

Esse é o projeto  Vegan-Zombie. É uma piada idiota que surgiu quando eu perguntei à um de meus amigos: "Oque um zumbi vegan iria dizer quando ele gemesse?". Bem, a resposta é: diferente do zumbi carnívoro, que diz "miooooolllooossss...", ele pediria por algo que não agredisse o meio-ambiente e que não causasse sofrimento à nenhum ser vivo.

Então, aqui estão duas versões da ilustração, uma com fundo e outra sem. Eu pensei que desenhando o zumbi vegan se aproximando de um campo de trigo deixaria as coisas bem mais assustadoras (e não h´pa mais desculpas que me salvem de desenhar um fundo/cenário.)

Há também essa tela com alguns detalhes ampliados.

Espero que vocês gostem. Estou pensando em fazer uma camiseta com essa peça.

Welcome Home, team!

Well, another one about the South Africa World Cup.

Brazilian team has lost, and now the country comes back to normal life. I was supporting Argentina, but it seems that i need to find another team...

So, I dont need to explain that joke for Brazilians.

But, if you are from another country: The nick-name of the brazilian team´s coach is the same of protuguese version of the little crazy dwarf from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. "Dopey"

and the text on the background is also the portuguese verion of the song: "Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho / It's home from work we go!"

The art was done quicky on Photoshop, in order to take the mood of our defeat.

Bem, outra ilustração sobre a Copa do Mundo da Africa do Sul.

O time brasileiro perdeu e agora o país volta à vida normal. Eu estava torcendo para a Argentina, mas me parece que terei de escolher outro time...

Então, não preciso explicar essa piada para brasileiros.

A arte for feita rapidamente no Photoshop, com a intenção de aproveitar o clima de derrota.

Samurai Wars

 

Here is a "big fish". A drawing that I made for Digital Artist Award 2009. Unfortunantly, I didn´t achieved a good position, but it was a good motivational for make this piece (nice excuse from a looser, hehehehe)
So, this art its a Jedi´s origins: I´ve tried to capture the battle of Obiwan Kenobi and Darth Vader on Star Wars - Episode IV - A New Hope. The jedis were inspired on the ancient samurais, so I bring that aesthetics to the illustration.


The Kanjis says (right to left):

"Finally we have met. The Circle is now complete. When I left you, I was but the learner. Now, I am the master!"

"Only a master of evil, darth"

I´ve made a really hard word scanning the textures and work on them. I hope you enjoy it!

Esse aqui é oque chamo de "peixe grande". Um desenho que eu fiz para o Digital Artist Award, de 2009. Infelizmente, não alcancei uma boa posição, mas serviu como uma ótima motivação para eu fazer essa peça (boa desculpa de perdedor, hehehe).

Então, essa arte é a origem dos Jedi: Eu tentei capturar a batalha de Obiwan Kenobi e Darth Vader em Star Wars - Episódio IV - Uma Nova Esperança. Os jedi são inspirados nos antigos samurais, então resolvi trazer essa estética para a ilustração.

Os Kanjis dizem (da direita para esquerda):

"Finalmente nos encontramos. O circulo está completo agora. Quando eu deixei você, eu era apenas um aprendiz. Agora, o mestre sou eu!"

"Apenas um mestre do mal, Darth"

Tive muito trabalho digitalizando as texturas e trabalhando sobre elas. Espero que vocês gostem!

Leap Year Nationalism / Nacionalismo Bissexto

Well, As usual at the World Cup fever, all the Brazil is glazed about this subject. And how could not fail to occur,  the RedFoot team also entered this!

I made this comic strip to the Guerra de Ilustrações, a monthly illustration contest here in Londrina, which gather many illustrators of the city. The theme of this month - obviously - was "World Cup".

The comic strip tranlated to english (from left to right):

Bem, como costuma ocorrer na época da Copa do Mundo, o Brasil todo está vidrado no assunto. E como não poderia deixar de ocorrer, a equipe RedFoot também entrou nessa!

Produzi essa tirinha para a Guerra de Ilustrações, que é um evento mensal aqui em Londrina, o qual reúne ilustradores da cidade. O tema desse mês -obviamente - foi "Copa  do Mundo".
